Soweto International Comedy Festival featuring #Elections2014

What happens when you put an elections ballot box at an international comedy festival? Well come to the Soweto International Comedy Festival from the 21st till the 22nd of March 2014 at the Lyric Theater to see how together we can laugh at our pains for the better. It’s that time of the year again where your baby will get a free kiss from Helen, a musical dance performance from the President, another kiss from Helen to Ramphele and many more politicians becoming comedians all for the sake of better service delivery promises. Our organizers at the Soweto International Comedy Festival know how all this can be confusing, hurting and frustrating for the general citizen of the Republic so they have decided to tell you a joke, so here goes.

Since its inception in 2012, the Soweto International Comedy Festival has matured in size, quality and staging. In simpler terms it’s bigger, bolder and better than any opposition party that we have come across. The show having started out in the plush streets of the Soweto Township has grown out from its big brothers’, the Soweto Comedy Festival, shadows at the Soweto Theater to the Lyric Theater which is just outside the Johannesburg City’s outskirts. The move which is in line with the Festivals’ dream of one day touring the world could have been the most significant move it could have taken yet. With a fresher international line-up of comedy acts that represent three different continents and five countries all at the same time you wouldn’t want to miss this international exhibition for the world, get it?

For this and more comedy that has international appeal, book your seat now at Computicket for the Soweto International Comedy Festival live at the Lyric Theatre from 21 to 22 March 2014.
